G-Dragon, "It's not hard to become a Leader of Big Bang!"

Here is an interview from the Big Bang Electric Love Tour photobook:

At what age you first listen to the music?

When I was in elementary school. The father of one of my friends worked as a producer for the TV music program and when I visited the place, equated a lot of albums of music from international artists. I listen to hip-hop for the first time there and I would very surprised.

Like "It turns out there like this kind of music in this world!"?

I just listened to the k-pop until I listened to this genre, hip-hop, so I thought "Why hip hop is kind of good music? I also do not understand what the meaning of the foreign language (the song). "I'm just not typing why is spelled out very good, so I'm not really that interested until I listen to song called" C.R.E.A.M "by Wu Tang Clan. They were American hip hop group best known at the time and my vision of music began to open.

So in that language barriers do not matter?

Of course I did not know the meaning of the lyrics or the spelling of words from english, but I do not care about such things because the music sounded really cool. I have both either CD or cassette and I listened to them until I damaged CD's and tapes, and I sing along with them until I can understand what they say. And also I wanted to show my friends if I remember the lyrics as a whole, so I sang that song on stage, like the festival to sing at school. I guess everyone thinks like, "Wow!" And praised me, but they're really not much to accept this. Instead they looked at me with a face like saying, "What did he sing? I'm not horrible at all. "* Laughs *

Ah, That's sad, but I think you different from your school friends, you must be the only one who listened to music outside school time.

Yes, but my friends who do not accept that music, now called me and said, "I should have listened to it with you." * Laughs *

When I was little, I like to try something new that other people do not know, which I thought was good. Actually, the first thing I started is to dance. I like to dance along with music or TV shows. When our little like running or jumping without a goal right? Just like that, I think it's really fun when I dance. My mother saw and put me into a lot of auditions, and I was accepted by all.

So your mother was the first to see your talent?

She said if I would dance in front of people though there is only one or two people in the room. My mother told me I really enjoy entertaining people, he decided to put me in the entertainment industry like this. I think my mother was more powerful than me. * Laughs *

So when did the first time you have / come on TV?

At that time when I was 6 years old. It is a TV show that played several games with many children. Actually it's something I do not want to, but my mother told me to go. I love being on TV, but I want to walk with my friends or eat a snack when I have free time. * Laughs * I do not like it when I have to get up early because of work and time hang out with my friends became shorter. I started thinking if this is not the same anymore, but I try my best to enjoy the time I had.

How does your personality when you were little?

I was just a boy who timid, quiet and shy that just followed my mother every time, but there is one place that makes me very confident that on the stage, dancing. I turned into an active person since I joined my company right now, when I was 12 years old.

So from that moment you begin to own your path?

I started doing the things I want, like to give my own ideas when I decided to live in this musical path. First my mother wanted me to learn in high school, but after he received me very very interested in music he became the most support me.

but it seems you need a longer time than imagined for the debut?

I became one at age 6 years and spent the time I participate in some of my senior album. I think in myself that I had with the PD challenge myself (When I finally debut), without being weird or being very uncomfortable.

So you should be very glad when you finally debut under the name Big Bang.

When I had just debuted, it was more than pleased. At that time the name "G-Dragon" has been known and also published as a male group from YG's first idol, so there are lots of expectations / desires from us. In addition to these expectations, of course there are a lot of criticism but it makes us, the five members strong and tightly interconnected. We say, "We will show them more of what they expect, we will make our name, 'Big Bang' proud!", And since then we work harder every day.

Moreover, you are his leader, so what you do not have more pressure on it?

Time when we were just making our group, I made a difference becomes smaller between the oldest and youngest members. But I think it is not difficult to become a leader of the Big Bang.
This is a group which has 5 members and their own 5 different colors.

That's what I love about us. They fully understand their own job, though I only explain the details a bit, they know what to do. Of course there are some conflicts and fight / disagreement until we reach a decision, it is what I mean until we trust each other.

For example what caused the fight?

For example, when someone who does not like the way I eat or the way I fold my clothes * laughs * We all live in an apartment together and live together. Thinking about it now, actually we are a lot of arguing against something that really is not that important. We did not even get to finish these small problems and ended up aggravating the conflict between us, and it could jeopardize us as a group. Then we realized that things like that just make us feel bad feelings. And after that, there is absolutely no fighting anymore.
